This class couples the general ed curriculum with specialized instruction in the areas of need for each individual student. We focus on increasing reading strategies and improve writing skills and capitalization, punctuation and grammar. We will be reading the Odyssey, Romeo and Juliet and the novel
To Kill a
Mockingbird. We
will be working on assignments on the 9th grade requirements.
Some of these assignments and readings will be at a modified

The students are given weekly homework in spelling. This packet is due on Friday. The students take a test on Friday over the spelling words for the week.
