Cougar Mountain Junior High School
It is an honor and pleasure to be the
principal at Cougar Mountain Junior High School. To our parents/guardians and friends of Cougar
Mountain, this year marks our fifth school year at
CMJH. It seems like yesterday that we
were moving into our beautiful new building. We are very proud of the functionality and beauty
that CMJH brings to our students. CMJH
offers students great technology along with a floor plan that makes
it safe and easy to go from class to class. The CMJH floor plan provides teachers grade level
configurations (wings) along with great opportunities for team
teaching.
At Cougar Mountain
we believe that great schools begin with the development of a safe
and friendly educational environment. A
positive building climate is ESSENTIAL for high academic
achievement. This must take place before learning (raising WASL
scores) will take place. How do we do
this? We do this by hiring outstanding
teachers and classified personnel and by supporting a building-wide
vision that says,
“No one has the right to interfere with the
learning and well-being of themselves and/or others.”
Our discipline philosophy revolves around the
enforcement of the 3 R’s:
Respect for Yourself, Respect for
Others, and Respect for Your School. At Cougar Mountain RESPECT is not just a word, it is a way of life.
