 Education goals you can practice with your child in the car:  

  • Counting aloud from 0 to 120+
  • Rhyming words
  • Ask them to say the beginning , middle, or ending sounds  of things you see
  •  Name geometric shapes that you see

  • Read signs 

Ideas to increase learning while at home or at childcare:

  • Reading all of our sight words, including : I, see,my, like, to, the, a, and, go, have, here, is, can, an, at
  • Retelling a story, and stating what happened in the beginning/middle/end of the book
  •  Use flash cards to practice recognizing letters and their sounds
  • Blending 3 letter words by saying each sound and then saying the word   
 
  • Writing and recognizing numbers to at least 31

      

  •  Reading for at least 20 minutes a day with an adult or older sibling!
