Welcome to Special Services at Elk
Plain.
The Special Service staff are here to instruct, support, encourage,
and build confidence in the special needs students. Our students are
participating learners in the arts, sciences, and academics of the
school.
We use direct instruction, cooperative learning groups, small group,
and one-on-one teaching techniques. The para educator supports teacher
directed lessons. The supervising teacher and/or the resource teacher
will prepare the lessons and make the teaching decisions for the
students. Any questions concerning students, curriculum, and techniques
should be addressed to the resource teacher. Mrs. Peterson-Bruso is the
Resource Teacher and Mrs. Corsini is the Para Educator. They can be
reached at 683-7904. They are most happy to take your call or set a
time for a meeting.
