Students who take dance class at Elk
Plain have the opportunity to develop movement skills as an
expression in daily life, as well as performance. Students
create,
perform,
and respond
through dance. Studying
dance increases self-confidence, enriches learning in other subject
areas, and develops social skills. See below for the Washington
State EALR's that the Elk Plain Dance Program is based
on.

The student understands and applies arts knowledge and
skills.
