 Mrs. Gapinski's Mission Statement:

  •  With vision, it is my intent to seek and develop inventive ways to meet the over-all needs of a diverse student community which will promote and develop the habits necessary for the student to become a critical thinker and a successful life- learner.

    HONORS CLASS SYLLABUS:

    Grades:
    Grades will be base on mastery of the material which involves meeting the learning targets.
    95-100=A
    90-94.99=A-
    86-89.99=B+
    83-85.99=B
    80-82.99=B-
    77-79.99=C+
    74-76.99=C
    73.99-0=i*

    * An (i) in the gradebook means that the student has not shown mastery of the material; however, the opportunity to attain mastery of the content material is available until the end of the quarter in which it was taught.

8th grade Social Studies:

In eighth grade, students develop a new, more abstract level of understanding of social studies concepts. The context for developing this understanding is U.S. history and government, 1776-1900.

               2.politics,society, culture, and economy in the United States to deepen understanding in  civics, geography, and economics
