Show-and-Tell Daily at 1:45
***No Toys or electronics!***
 Three minute sharing followed by three students' compliment or question.
Students with names that begin with A-C share on Monday,
D-F on Tuesday, G-L on Wednesday, M-R on Thursday, and S-Z on Friday.

 AR (Accelerated Reader) Program
Your child has the opportunity every morning between 8:55 and 9:15am to return a library book and get a new one. Please monitor your child's reading and make sure the book is the correct level. First graders frequently want to read at a higher level than they can independently. It would be VERY helpful if parents ask comprehension questions and have their child retell the story.  We have a monthly goal of 3 AR points. (20 points by the end of the year) Prizes will be given.

Spelling tests are on Fridays. 
Please practice spelling words with your child.

 

Don't forget to check "take-home" folders and use them to transport any important notes to school.

We are collecting boxtops all year! I hear there will be a monthly prize for the class with the most. I give "principal-pride" tickets to students as they bring them in.
