The Happiest Children In the World Walk Through This Door!

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Mr. Marquart

My role as a teacher is to guide, inspire, stimulate, nurture and motivate my students to receive a valuable educational experience. I give consideration and attention to each child. I acknowledge differences in children; therefore, I try to make each educational experience valuable to all.

I believe each child is an important human being, entitled to full consideration and respect. I expect respect from the children and a well disciplined classroom where each child abides by the classroom rules and manners set early in the year by the class as a whole. Just as I require respect from my students, I feel that they have to right to expect of from me. I believe in firmness, fairness, and friendliness.

In my classroom I use imagination and initiative in directing experiences to provide for the best educational growth of my students. I feel it is important to emphasize each child’s needs, interests, and talents just as it is important to recognize the purposes that are served by the class as a group.

I try to set a happy climate in my classroom with an atmosphere that is fun, relaxed, positive, imaginative, safe, and inviting. A place where learning is a happy and meaningful process.

I try to reach each child so that he or she accomplishes a certain minimum package of skill appropriate for this grade level.

I believe in practicing “Random Acts of Kindness” and try to instill this kindness in the children in my care. We will practice this concept often to help make the world around us a better and safer place.

I view my classroom as a garden where I have a wide verity of plants struggling to grown. I must take great care to see that each plant is nurtured according to its unique needs. I cannot focus on a single product because each plant is different. I try to focus on the process which will benefit everyone.
