Hello Parents and
Guardians,
Welcome to another exciting year at Spanaway Junior High. I am very
excited to meet your students and know that we will learn a
lot this school year!
You are the most important part of your child (ren)'s education and
I welcome your partnership in guiding their success in
school. We have several activities for students to demonstrate
their knowledge of scientific concepts to include individual
projects, experiments, and presentations. Information
for each activity will be presented and sent home to
allow ample time for students to complete them and seek assistance
if necessary.
Beginning in March students will be practicing for the science
portion of the WASL. Released science WASL items from previous
years will be used to demonstrate the testing environment and to
help students gain a better understanding of what is expected of
them for this important test.
