(Science Goggles!  Is there no limit to their awesome power?)

Welcome to 7th Grade Earth Science in room A259!

In 7th grade we study Weather, Astronomy, Geology, and Forces & Motion (beginning physics).    This course is designed to align with middle school science standards set by the State of Washington Office of Public Instruction. We use Foss Kits and the Glencoe Earth Science Curriculum.

All students in this class must have a journal, preferably a composition book, (now available in the Spanaway Junior High Student Store!)  They can also be found at Target and anywhere else that sells school or office supplies.  I strongly recommend that parents buy two journals in the late summer/early fall when the prices are lower and save one for later in the year.  Almost all work in class is done directly in journals and the journal grade is approximately 30% of the total grade.

Students will also need a pen or pencil every day.  A calculator is not required but is strongly recommended.

Please see the course syllabus under the 'documents' tab for a more detailed course description.
